Don’t forget about our band camp meeting this Friday, July 16th at 7PM. We will go over the schedule for our 2010 band camp and eat some ice cream! Also if you will need a school instrument you will check it out at the meeting. See you then!

Our representative from Midwest Band will be here on Friday June 11th between 10 and 10:30 to discuss different uniform options with us. All band parents are invited to attend so we can move forward with this adventure!

The Performing Arts and the Wayne Trace Board of Education are together purchasing new Marching Band Uniforms for use starting this fall!

At the regularly scheduled PAA meeting on Monday June 7th at 7PM we are going to try and fit as many students as possible for their uniform. This is for all students in high school band during the 2010 – 2011 school year. If you are not able to make this meeting to get fitted we will try to have a second fitting later this month.

The High School Band and Choir students are invited to an outing at LaserX and Buffalo Wild Wings in Fort Wayne. Meet at the High School music room at 2PM on Friday May 28th. We will play 2 games of laser tag at LaserX and then go on to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner around 5PM. Students should bring $12 to school to reserve their spot in the laser tag games. Please contact Mr. Lucas with questions. There is no school transportation provided. Please arrange rides with each other and Mr. Lucas. Congrats on a great year in Music at Wayne Trace!

7th Grade Girls received a II or ‘excellent’ rating at contest Saturday. 8th Grade Choir received a II or ‘excellent’ rating as well! Good job to both groups for this accomplishment!

The Performing Arts is selling calendars for the 2010-2011 school year with school events and dates as well as pictures of music department groups. If you would like an order form please see Mr. Lucas or Mrs. Wenninger. Pre-Orders are due May 21st for pick up at the beginning of the next school year.
