We will be attending the Drum Corp show on Monday Aug. 9th. Please arrive at the band room by 2:00PM so we can leave promptly at 2:15. We will return between 11-midnight. If you have not paid Mr. Lucas your $16 please do so ASAP! The admission price includes a meal but your student may want to bring money for any other snacks for the trip.

If you have yet to pay for your black shoes or ‘summer’ uniform please do so ASAP. The shoes are in the band room for pickup if you would like them or you may leave them in the uniform room with your name on them until we wear them. The ‘summer’ uniforms which were ordered are not in yet but should be in about a week.

We have secured a bus for transportation to Toledo for the Drum Corp trip this Monday Aug. 9. Tickets for this trip are $16 and must be paid by this Thursday Aug. 5 if you plan to attend. This price includes dinner and the educational field experience. See Mr. Lucas if you have questions.

The Van Wert Band Show is Sept. 7th. If you would like pre-order tickets for the Wayne Trace block of seats please send $3 with your student to Mr. Lucas to reserve your seat. Reserved seat money must be received by Aug 27.

New uniforms have been ordered and are on schedule for delivery by the first football game. We will wear our ‘summer’ uniforms until the new uniforms come in for any formal event.

The Performing Arts Association will hold a Car Wash on Sept. 4th from 10:30-4:00 at the Sonic in Van Wert. We will be looking for high school students in Band and Choir to work at this event. Also 10% of sales at Sonic during that time goes to the PAA.

Don’t forget about our band camp meeting this Friday, July 16th at 7PM. We will go over the schedule for our 2010 band camp and eat some ice cream! Also if you will need a school instrument you will check it out at the meeting. See you then!

Our representative from Midwest Band will be here on Friday June 11th between 10 and 10:30 to discuss different uniform options with us. All band parents are invited to attend so we can move forward with this adventure!

The Performing Arts and the Wayne Trace Board of Education are together purchasing new Marching Band Uniforms for use starting this fall!

At the regularly scheduled PAA meeting on Monday June 7th at 7PM we are going to try and fit as many students as possible for their uniform. This is for all students in high school band during the 2010 – 2011 school year. If you are not able to make this meeting to get fitted we will try to have a second fitting later this month.
